Peer Support Program

Our peer support program is about sharing vital ideas, experiences, and information.

We know that a supportive community is at the core of “living independently”. In our peer support groups, those living with disabilities are encouraged to share those things that shape their lives. The things that impact them day to day, or the impact that they want to make in the world. These groups are an exchange about self-confidence, assertiveness, healthy relationships, and more. These are opportunities to grow together.

Our peer-to-peer exchange program is a back and forth of skills and hobbies that help people grow.

In small groups, we’ll come together and make a plan. We’ll figure out what we want to learn, and what we want to teach. We’ll sit back with a coffee (or tea) and relax. We’ll learn interesting things. We’ll share our skills in a judgement free zone. We’ll become more confident and comfortable together. We’ll go home refreshed.

Whether it’s sewing or social media—there are always interesting things to learn and share. So come around.
