The Ability Hub (Formally the North Saskatchewan Independent Living Centre) are here to provide the tools, knowledge, and confidence so that people with any disability or health condition can live more independent lives. We do it through education, resources, peer support, employment, life and literacy skills development, and our flagship
Entrepreneurs with Disabilities program.
Check out our Programs and contact us to get involved.
The Ability Hub acknowledges that its membership live, work and benefit from Treaty 4 and 6 – the traditional territories of the Nehiyawak (Cree), Nahkawininiwak (Anishanaabe, Ojibwe, Saulteaux), Dakota, Lakota, Nakota, Dene, and homelands of the Metis/Mechif Nation. We affirm that we have responsibilities to uphold the spirit and intent of treaty as well as the written documents. At the same time The Ability Hub members remain committed to engaging in right relations with the Original Peoples of these lands.
Skill Development
Pre-Employment
In Motion & Momentum+ is a skill development and skill discovery program for individuals wanting to set new goals for their lives.
It is especially useful for those who, for one reason or another, may have been stuck or feeling like they've been moving in a direction that is not right for them.
We’re committed to building a welcoming and inclusive community of all disabilities or health conditions. We’re not here to limit our services to specific kinds of people. We’re not here to put you on a waiting list.
We’re here to create a safe space where someone can grow, and provide unique programs that get at the essential things one needs to live independently.
If you want to support our work, donate here.
At our heart: community.

Nothing for us, without us.
Our programs, and our organization, have to be built on true understanding to be helpful. We are cross-cultural and cross-disability. That’s why more than 51% of the people who make decisions in our organization have disabilities themselves. It’s part of our mandate, and it’s essential to who we are.
